Why travelers stop here
Yakam Yukgaejang is located near Daemyeong Port, before crossing Ganghwa Chojidaegyo Bridge. The parking lot is spacious, and above all, it opens at 7:30 AM, making breakfast possible. This restaurant sells only 200 bowls of yukgaejang per day, and closes when ingredients run out. The rich broth is made by boiling Korean beef head and leg bones, topped with plenty of green onion strips, offering a spicy and refreshing yukgaejang full of scallion flavor. Basic side dishes include perilla leaf pickles and kkakdugi (radish kimchi), and you can help yourself to baechu kimchi (cabbage kimchi). Nearby attractions include Daemyeong Port, Munsusan Mountain, and Cheongna Lake Park, which can be visited together.
