Why travelers stop here
Seojibaei Janchi Guksu is located near Daeport Harbor before Chojidaegyo Bridge on the way to Ganghwado Island. The unique name 'Seojibaei' is said to have been taken from a mountain village in Geochang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do. It is said that the restaurant was opened to share with customers the taste of the noodles eaten at feasts in that mountain village during difficult times. All ingredients are domestically sourced, and the shiitake mushroom broth, noodles, and onion peel tea are available for unlimited refills. The broth, made by carefully simmering shiitake mushrooms—known for their cholesterol- and blood pressure-lowering effects—along with various ingredients for a long time, has a dark color. Dogs are allowed, and dining in a private room is possible for the comfort of other guests.
