Why travelers stop here
Duriwon Handmade Tofu is a tofu specialty restaurant located in Seolmun-dong, Goyang-si. With a red roof and large lettering reading 'Handmade Tofu,' it is easy to spot even from the road, and the spacious parking lot in front of the restaurant makes parking convenient. They make tofu twice a day, in the morning and afternoon, using beans contract-grown in Chungju, North Chungcheong Province. This place requires one menu order per person, offering set meals with various flavored soft tofu and stone pot rice, tofu hot pot that can be ordered for two or more, and tofu dishes enjoyed with bossam. The fresh tofu is also a delicacy when eaten with delicious kimchi. The freshly made tofu is soft and rich in flavor, and the side dishes such as radish namul, pickled chili peppers, braised potatoes, and mung bean pancakes are generous. Seasonal menu items include kongguksu enjoyed in summer, and the tofu bossam is so popular that reservations are essential.
