Why travelers stop here
Hong Nammae Son Kalguksu is a hand-cut noodle specialty restaurant located at 42 Gwanggyosan-ro, Jangan-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do (Yeonghwa-dong). True to its name as a kalguksu specialty restaurant, it only serves a single menu item: kalguksu. The noodles are made from a chewy dough that has been aged for 24 hours to absorb moisture well, and the deep broth is made by simmering premium Namhae anchovies and shiitake mushrooms for a long time. The kimchi, which is as popular as the kalguksu, is made every dawn using 20 heads of cabbage with red pepper powder from Subi Village in Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
